First of all this is not the Abbey. The Abbey has great food and an identity. This place was basically heralded as the second coming of Christ . On all levels it is a complete disappointment. The food is not good , and the service is worse. I waited 45 minutes for my entree and an additional half an hour for wine. Its a restaurant, a sports bar , a gelato bar, a nightclub , a lounge all rolled into one big mess. Its like they looked at every business on Wilton Drive and said let me copy your business. I have been more than once and its the same s$it. The size and scale are impressive and grand. The finishes are cheap at best. Ikea furniture mixed with dollar bathroom tiles, mixed with Home Depot lighting fixtures. Theres nothing wrong with those places, but dont market yourself as an upscale venue with 13 dollar watered down drinks without using quality finishes. The nightclub portion is open to the restaurant so you smell food as you dance. The soundsystem is very muffled. Overall its just strange. Georgies has an identity, Rosies has an identity, this has none. Im not the typical Wilton Manors customer so my expectations may be higher but come off it. Last year when Living Room opened it really brought an upscale element to nightlife. If their attempt was to compete with Living Room they failed miserably. Having been to The Abbey many times I can say that the Abbey feels old and worn. Like its been there all along. The Manor seems like brand new construction trying to look old. If they dont do some quick adjustments I cant imagine it lasting. I for one will not go back.

Still working out the kinks

Place was jumping..got there at 9 and had no problem getting a table and having a light dinner. Nice atmosphere, clean, and the place has great potential. I could see getting there earlier and spending a couple of hours w/ dinner and dancing. Parking was a little crazy...someone needs to build a parking garage! Great to see so many people out supporting these businesses. LBGT consumers will support business that deliver a good product...and the Manor is doing it.

The "Kinks" Should be Ironed Out by Now

I was at the Manor on a Saturday night, about 11pm. I went to the bartender, $20 in hand, and asked for water. His response: "We're out and the barback hasn't broke any more". I say: "Tap is fine". His response: "My manager says if we serve tap water, we'll get fired". So, I simply left the place and walked down the street to a bar that knows what they're doing. The Manor is a joke. They've been open long enough that this type of thing shouldn't happen.

Mediocre food, nice place

We visited The Manor on a wednsday night and there was nothing remarkable about it. Its a great building and beautiful decor but the food is mediocre at best. Calamari appetizer had no taste, house salad had a great presentation but dressings tasted like cheap bottle dressings. I ordered a burger medium rare with seasoned fries and it came out extreamly well done with regular fries. Waitperson dissapeared so never got chance to return. This is a place that wants to be many things at the same time but unfortunately a good restaurant it is not. For the price it charges, i would go somewhere else.

Exceptional atmosphere, exceptional experience!

I was extremely satisfied with my Christmas dining experience at The Manor; so much in fact, that I immediately sought dinner reservations for New Year's Eve. The Manor was an excellent choice for both occasions.
