Wild restaurant, bar & nightclub rolled into one

With a stunning outdoor patio, scrumptious creations from the kitchen, and a calendar filled to the brim with amazing events, it's no wonder Georgie's Alibi Monkey Bar is one of the most popular spots in the city. Enjoy their full-service restaurant before hitting the dance floor and don't miss one of their legendary drag shows!

Having already posted several other reviews of varying opinions on the Alibi one might be of the mind that my thoughts may bounce around a lot, but restaurants and bars are forever changing and in keeping current, my reviews merely reflect those changes. The Alibi basically remains the Mecca of the gay bars of Wilton Manors and Fort Lauderdale. It's the one most tourists, seasonals as well as resident gays make a point of at least stopping in at. In fact it's liquor sales are reputed to be the equal of all the other area bars combined. Their food, especially their burgers, particularly their "Champ"(my favorite) and their "Knock Out" are some of the best. The opinion on that is not only my own but that of the Fort Lauderdale Burger Cook Off judges as both were first place award winners. However, the Alibi has cut back on few of their offerings that made them a unique standout amongst other gay bars with food offerings. The size of the chicken wings used are now smaller, not nearly as big, plump or juicy as the once were. What was the Monday flat iron steak is now most often not being served but when it is, not as big or thick as previously. There are no more top of the line meal nights of Florida stone crab or lobster. Hence, though I still find the Alibi to be really good, I can no longer go a "Wee Hoo!" it's an as good as it gets place.

      best priced drinks anywhere
Saturday is 2-4-1 open to close. And drinks are strong from the right bartender. How can you beat that? Love it here

    • The Stonewall of Wilton Manor’s
Alibi paved the way to make Wilton Manor’s the gayborhood. It’s got rich history, fierce drag shows, sexy gogo boys and is always LIT AF! Thursday’s they have just the TEA- a drag show with $3 long islands?

My favorite time to visit is for lunch on the large patio. Great burgers, but also have lots of choice to the menu. People watching is always fun, especially during the lunch crowd. At night, the crowd changes, but still fun

Saturday Nights are generally Buy One, Get One drink night. Get there before 10:00 PM. After that good luck getting your drink order in without a lot of bumping. ;)

Great place to drink and make friends
Located across the street from my office in Wilton Manors I find myself frequenting the Alibi for lunch or just to grab a cocktail. It's always a fun time.

      Sometimes good/Sometimes NOT!
It all depends on the bartender available.... The crowd is always a factor.... Some can be nasty... Try to find a bartender from NYC: His name is Brandon!!!
