This is the best bar on the strip. The music is outstanding and the bar staff are the best! Management gets totally involved in ensuring you have the best time. Everyone at Hunters totally supports the community with events and fundraisers. First place I head for when in town to have a great time.
Hunters is super corporate. The crowd is very young and it is only hoppin on Fridays and Saturdays. I wasn't a huge fan.
Awful staff and management.
Been there many x. Seems something (management, greed or whatever etc.) has changed for the worse. PLZ look out/avoid the abrasive, icy cold female bartender in the main front bar! Um..she's working in mainly a GAY men's bar lol Instantly sets off cold red flags and serious attitude. Pulsates nothing but disdain for her job and again... sorry...men! lol.
Worse then her is the manager 'Bruce'! In a very civil way I relayed what happened which was def something non drinks/ alcohol related. Was not at ALL a big deal. Instantly was nothing but rude, high strung, defensive, arrogant and could not care less! Just..0 concern to rectify everything. Awful customer service, vibes etc.. Will promptly make sure others know about all this. Why go somewhere if the manager couldn't care less about keeping a customer base happy (just making money)!
Been here a long time and will positively make sure the *word is out! In this town/city It's ALL about that! They know it.
Excellent music, great place to be!
Amazing music!
Disco Sunday
I had such a great time on Disco Sunday and enjoyed my Friday night visit as well. There is a lot of good energy here!
Karaoke
I went on one of the Karaoke nights, and it was a lot of fun. The drinks were OK. Definitely will go back again.
Atomic for sure
I go with friends there every weekend and I dance with the great music and I sometimes steel the show...
no eye candy AT ALL!
Ugly drunk crowd stumbling all over one another!! Was grossed out watching them trying to dance on a busy Thursday night. Is this South Florida? Thought I was transported to some corny ass whack small city America and I smelled like an ashtray once I left. Yuck!! I'm a local that doesn't go here....I'll pass
Odd place, but fun
Next to the gay coffee shop. Boom (name on the outside) is actually 2 rooms. They have a few seats outside. The first room is a bar and tini dance floor. The second room has all the action! Big dance floor, another bar, and a balcony overlooking the dance floor with another bar. The crowd on Sunday night was 40+ and had a fun vibe of old gay dance classics. Great place to let loose and dance to some old tunes. Seemed quiet most other week nights.
Great Sunday T Dance
I am a local and if you are around Sundays from 9- 12 am and luv the old Studio 54 music - this is the place to go.... Great location and the music on Sunday is the best. Gets a mixed but older crod on Sundays.... Used to have this dance at the Jackhammer before they closed.... Worth experiencing. Other nights they have karaoke and drink specials but Sunday was the only night I would go....
Fun old dance bar...
This plaqce is reminiscent of my younger years dancing till dawn. Fun place.
Mini-Manor
Boom is as close as any Wilton Manors club can come to the sprawling complex known as The Manor just down the street. Although Boom doesn't have as big a space, dancefloor, or crowd (most nights), the slightly smaller scale actually helps make it seem more accessible and enjoyable. It's well-designed, with an upper area looking down on the dance floor, two completely different types/eras of music usually playing in the segregated areas, and some great theme nights, especially Sunday's retro disco celebration, which eschews most of the obvious YMCA and Flashdance choices for more obscure chestnuts of the late 70s/early 80s that will make those who lived during that time smile with alcohol-assisted nostalgia as they dance the night away. If Georgie's Alibi or Bill's Filling Station aren't satisfying at any particular moment, this is a great third option in the same block, and there's some quick, delicious pizza available at Humpty's next door if you want a quick energy bite between bars instead of a sit-down dining experience. Boom is a welcome addition to the gayest shopping plaza in Wilton Manors.
