Hot Bears, Too Much Smoke and Not Very Friendly
Be aggressive if you want to meet anyone here. (And be muscular and gorgeous if you want anyone to approach you.) You can easily stand there for hours with no one acknowledging or smiling at you. I tried to make eye contact and many men made a conscious effort to avert their eyes. I'm a friendly type who's considered attractive by the bear community elsewhere. This bar is cliquish.
i love this place!!!
i dont care what anybody says this is by far the best bar in the whole town. the bartenders for the most part are very friendly with the exception of a few transplants from the new england states who will quickly learn their place. the food there is out of this world. by far the best hamburger and onion rings i have ever eaten. friday nights is packed. muscle bears everywhere. all on steroids of course...but hey if it works...LMAO i would go get all my teeth pulled witout any numming before i would step foot into georgies across the street!!!!
Way too smokey ! ! ! ! !
There are some great bars in Ft. Lauderdale but this is not one of them. It used to be one of the finest bars/restaurants in the entire Southeast US. It was Chardee's and was a wonderful supperclub. Now, it a hole that is filled with smokers and smoke EVERYWHERE! Not a fun place to go.
Took some time to grow on me...
I REALLY loved the "old Bills" as people call it. However, the new one took some time to grow on me. Our first few times there, it seemed very clique-ish. Lots of "packs" of bears that didn't talk to "outsiders" at all. The last couple times we were there though, it was during the week. The people we met (Bartenders Will and Bob) were just outstanding! It's finally grown on us!
