Ed Lugo Resort

(52 Ratings)
Gay-friendly guesthouse

The rooms are very nice, and some feature full kitchens and living rooms, but it's all about the beautiful pool at Ed Lugo Resort. Enjoy the view from your tropical shower. Not a men-only resort, but located in Wilton Manors and is very gay-friendly.

Lovely place!!

My boyfriend and I were visiting Fort Lauderdale for the first time in December 2014 and found a room at Ed Lugo for 3 nights. We did not have any expectation as we found the hotel randomly on google but it turned out to be a perfect guess. We got to the resort late and exhausted as our flight was delayed but the owner (Edouard Lugo) gave us an amazing welcome with complementary drinks and the most beautiful smile. The place is really nice and clean, perfect for a romantic stay and next to where everything is happening in Wilton Maners. There is a jaccuzi in the backyard and our favorite, a heated pool with a waterfall. Our fridge was full of free drinks and Ed even baked us cookies :) Needless to say we had a great time. Everything is at walking distance, bars restaurants, etc. For sure we'll be back soon. Thanks again Ed,Chris and Darleen for this wonderful time. Mike and David

Wonderful

From the moment we called in to make the reservation until we checked out the staff was super friendly and helpful. We felt nothing but welcomed for our two night stay. The resort was nothing but a relaxing experience - sunning in the private lush tropical backyard, swimming in the wonderful pool or using the hot tub - everything was wonderful and perfect. The accommodations were excellent - comfortable bed and a very clean room, excellent. The location is perfect - walking distance to everything restaurants, shopping, nightlife. Have drinks and no worries about driving as everything is centrally located. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The owner Ed really takes care of you and he was always checking to see if we needed anything, no other places would do that... We have only great things to say about this wonderful resort and we will be back. Mike and Craig

Great Time at Eds

My boyfriend & I recently stayed at the resort and had a great time! The staff was friendly & courteous plus a riot after a few complimentary drinks. The rooms & grounds are decorated tastefully & I've never stayed at a place where I felt so free to be myself. Add that to the fact that you are within walking distance to many of the Wilton Manors bars & only a short drive to the beach made it a truly wonderful experience. Love it & will be returning again soon.

Absolutely divine!

Hi Ed, I'm not sure if you remember me or not. I stayed at your resort during the weekend of February 9th with my boyfriend and another couple. I wanted to thank you so much for your great hospitality. Not only was your resort beautiful from beginning to end, the hospitality was truly exceptional. You really personalized your service for us and we all wanted to say how much we appreciate it. We all had an amazing time. Thank You!

Just returned from our first stay with Ed Lugo.

Having a birthday that falls during spring break, SUCKS unless you're staying with Ed. My partner and I spent spring break at this wonderful little oasis just off the strip of Wilton Manors. Ed arranged everything we needed for a peaceful trip, from stocking our fridge with complimentary drinks and snacks to arranging a massuese in our secluded private courtyard. He had all the info on which bar or restaurant to go to, but more importantly, where NOT to go. We were not dissapointed with any aspect of our trip, we felt like locals.
