Don't Bother
Dancers pay a stiff house fee to work. That creates a negative atmosphere in which the dancers hustle to sell VIP room 15 min dances for $140. House keeps 30%. Floor shows are pathetic. Abt 5 mins of nude after interminable clothed pseudo grinding. Then its back to selling private dances. The smoking makes the whole place stink. Have you been to Secrets in WashDC. Now there's a great nude club. Not a flaky strip club but all nude all the time, a dozen jaw droppers out at the same time all night. No one is hustling you. Pass on Richard's and save your money.
Terrible
Take all the worst things about a straight strip club, throw in some juiced up, straight, meat heads, and top it off with a cheesy DJ/MC and you get this place. The dancers can't even be bothered to attempt to entertain anyone enough to want to tip them - they spent most of their time on stage staring at their reflections in the surrounding mirrors. The only time they showed any real personality was when they were interacting with the two women in the club. Isn't this supposed to be a gay club?! This just feels like another straight person's idea for taking advantage of the gay community.
Recreating a classic
Classic Richards quality men. Remarkably customer-oriented staff, and high-quality guys that are head-and-shoulders above the other local fare. Everything you'd expect from the Atlanta club is here, just in a slightly less refined, start-up mode. To be fair, this is the first week they're ope and their Grand Opening is still several weeks away. Additionally, the location is going to be a challenge since it's not South Beach and not Wilton Manors so it's a drive from anywhere gay men congregate. As much as I love Richards, it's only a four-star until it gets some legs and business begins to increase. It's a little big and empty at this early stage to carry the excitement and edge that will push it into five-star territory. Hopefully, the coming weeks and months will drive that traffic so that it becomes the full equal to the Atlanta original.
