Thursday is the night!
I was kind of scared after reading a few bad reviews...but when I showed up on a Thursday night this place was packed beyond capacity with all varieties of very hot hot men! This really large bar/restaurant goes on forever and even has a large patio. I had a great time at Georgie's Alibi!!!
Georgie Kessinger has left the building.
It's so apparent that the place that built Wilton Manors is no turning it into Wilton Manors. Oh my...try Matty's on the drive further down Wilton Dr.
A sinking ship
This place used to be "the place" to hang out, a varied crowd, reasonable priced drinks, friendly bartenders. I live in Miami and was here with some out of townees friends this past weekend after many years of not going here. Boy, the place is starting to look run down, the crowd tend to be 50+ year olds pretending to be 21(Guys, tight A&F clothes look just stupid on anyone past 30!), lots of posers, attitude queens. The music is very loud and video screens every 2 feet!!! The staff appear tired and indifferent, food overprices and drinks not as good as they used to be. I think they need new management to freshen up the place.
This place has seen better days
I live in Ft. Lauderdale, and years ago this bar used to be the place where EVERYBODY hung out especially on Sunday afternoons/evenings. It used to be a really cool place, whether you were there to pose, hang out with friends, or meet people. They had decent drink prices and good service from the bartenders. Tried the food there a few times after they started doing that but didn't care much for it and found it a bit over-priced. The change to smoke-free was a good one. Hadn't been there in years, until a couple weeks ago. Now it seems the place has gone down quite a bit. The hot men who used to hang out there aren't there anymore. Now its mostly middle age guys who don't seem to get that they're not young anymore, tourists, and a lot of posers who think they're hot stuff. Very, very fake ambiance and too many too-loud flat screen TVs all over the place. Worst of all the service is terrible. Overall not such a great place to hang out at all. I wouldn't recommend it.
