Liberty Apartment & Garden Suites

Liberty Inn & Suites has my business whenever I'm in the Fort Lauderdale area. They are the closest guest house to Haulover nude beach (though it is a bit of a drive) and close to some relatively nice restaurants and fast food. (Some even walking distance of 2 to 3 blocks.) The owners are friendly and keep the place comfortable and clean. Each room is decorated in dated but quite comfortable/functional furniture. (Don't expect luxury, but the price is right.) There is a full kitchen which includes salt, sugar & many of the things you need for cooking/eating in. There's a community gas grill which you are welcome to use. You are greeted in your room with a nice welcome letter which looks professionally printed. It has all the applicable information-how to use the phone, wireless access code, etc. The clientele are refreshingly friendly. The pool is heated to a balmy temperature. Overall the place is very quiet and serene. Dania Beach is a nice area which is kind of "low end" compared to surrounding cities, but certainly not dangerous or seedy. It's a quick 15 to 20 minute drive to the Wilton Manors gay area. Overall I love the less expensive, quiet atmosphere and proximity to eateries. I give this place an enthusiastic 4 out of 5.

Liberty Suites in Dania Beach is one of our favorite places to visit. Located in a neighbourhood, it offers many restaurants and tons of shopping. I have stayed in almost every suite they have. These are full apartments...with full kitchens as well. Great if you are planning to stay longer. Best part of Liberty is the pool. The owners pride themselves on it and since it faces south-west, you have full sun from 9am to 5pm. No large buildings in the way to block it. Already have another trip booked in December...can't wait!

This place is a dump and in a bad part of town. I was afraid to even park my auto in their parking space which is street side. Debrie all over the pool area. Weeds and tall grass all around. Very questionable people working around the outside all the time. Really scarry. Skip it and stay at one of the gay resorts in Ft. Lauderdale.
