I'VE STAYED IN MANY FT. LAUDERDALE RESORTS & THIS ONE SUITS ME TO THE MAX! IT'S EXCEPTIONALLY CLEAN & VERY COMFORTABLE WITH A FRIENDLY STAFF & COMPLETE LACK OF PRETENTION, IN AN EXCELLENT CENTRAL LOCATION. THE ROOMS EVEN SMELL EXHILARATING & THERE ARE ALWAYS PLENTY OF VERY FRIENDLY MEN STAYING THERE!! IT'S GORGEOUS & VERY WELCOMING!!

This place is amazing. The music is perfect, light show tunes in the morning for relaxing with coffee, dance beats the rest of the day. Everyone is friendly. You can be as social as you like or as intreverted as you like. Go with your boyfriend for a romantic weekend or you can go alone and meet great people. Be as sexually open as you like or keep your suit on all weekend, no one cares what you do. This is a very respectful, friendly environtment.
As for Debbie Downer who posted below... Yes, a few of the rooms on the Alcazar side have a mildew scent, they are still working on the renovations on that side as it is newly aquired. You can ask to be moved for the scent, I'm sure they will move you if they are not booked. If you want to ensure a fresh clean smell, make sure you stay on The Worthington side, it's only $10 more a night.
As for the complaint of finding a condom by the pool.. Maybe gay resorts aren't the place for you peaches. You should try Seasame Place, I hear it's a hoot.

No nightlife unless you have a car which rules out drinking when you go out. Music so low that you don't even realize it gets turned off at 8:00 pm. That's the time it should start not end. No pool side service but great if you're of retirement age. Will NEVER stay there again.

The Worthington has got to be the place to be in Ft. Lauderdale, I stayed there for 4 nights and met some of the nicest people. Everyone was friendly, we went to dinner and hung out. The entire staff was friendly and helpful, gave us a list of all the "must" places to go to. Highly recommend!

I travel to Fort Lauderdale atleast 3 times a year, each time i try and stay it various, different gay resorts. of ALL places, this has got to be the worse gay resort around. The rooms smelled of mildew, used condums out by the pool, when told to management, they laughed it off and said "its just a nice parting gift"..if you like raunch, then this is your place.

We actually stayed at the Alcazar, next door. We lucked out and had to use the facilities at the Worthington because they were installing a new pool at Alcazar. The amenities at the Worthington are pretty darned nice. The pool and hot tub and overall friendliness of the other guests were above expectations. The happy hour was only so so, since we think they watered down the drinks. The hosts (owners?) were easy to deal with and tried to be helpful. Overall we'd stay there again.
So, what do you say?
