What we say
Coconut Cove, the Key West of Fort Lauderdale
And, they also say, "It's where men & boys come to stay and play!"

I have stayed at the Coconut Cove guesthouse on more occassions than I can remember. Each time without complaint; David the owner is a gracious and engaging host that we have befriended. It caters to the bear crowd, but never have the younger guys or twinks felt uncomfortable there. Just spent the weekend there for my birthday and brought along 5 othrers that had a very nice stay. I definitely suggest giving this place a shot! Submitted via GayCities iPhone application

I stayed here in March because of all the positive reviews. I was not impressed. I stayed in one of the nicest rooms and I just felt the place was worn and had crossed the line from "historic" to just plain old. I would not stay here again.

My partner and I stay here just about every time we come to Fort Lauderdale. It's an awesome clothing optional guest house. There's about 10 or so rooms, so it's a nice intimate setting. Dave, the owner, is very social with the clientele during breakfast and happy hour. We've never had a bad time here! Tends to be a "bearish" crowd, so if you like that you'll love this. If you're into twinks, this is NOT the place for you.

Like many of Fort Lauderdale's guesthouses, this establishment caters mostly to older men. Don't be fooled by the hot models on the brochures. Beyond that, it is a nice property 1 block from the beach. Rooms are large, clean & comfortable. Nice grounds with large heated pool. Good breakfast in the morning.

Just got home from 5 days at the Coconut Cove. I've stayed at about a dozen guesthouses in the last ten years or so, but none like this one. David, the owner and host, genuinely enjoys spending time with his guests without being intrusive. Friendly and accommodating staff, well kept gardens, and hot men coming and going (literally). Rooms are nicely appointed, lots of breakfast items to choose from, not just muffins and coffee. David's parrot, Peanut has breakfast with everyone. But dont tell anyone about this hidden gem, I want to make sure I get a good room next year! Jim
