Beers and Tap Schedule:
We will be holding timed tappings of our rare and limited release beers every two hours, on the hour, both inside at the bar and outside at our beer truck. Each limited release brew will be a 10-ounce pour. The complete schedule and tap list will be posted closer to the date of the grand opening.
Hop Gun IPA: Our flagship IPA drinks like an ode to hoppy goodness. Galena, Cascade, and Nelson Sauvin hops burst forth with grapefruit, honey, and pineapple, while the body balances malt character with the kind of crisp, dry finish that pairs well with warm weather. 7.7% ABV 80 IBUs
Floridian: Unfiltered and refreshing, our German hefeweizen combines the flavors of bananas, citrus, and cloves with an all wheat and pilsner malt body that perfectly captures the brilliance of a Florida sunset. 5.6% ABV 12 IBUs
OP Porter: Luscious and silky smooth with a body to match, OP Porter is an uncompromisingly rich, yet surprisingly drinkable dark ale with the bold flavors of coffee, chocolate, and cream. 6.3% ABV 40 IBUs
Doc Brown’s 1.21 Gigawatts: This smooth and nutty Brown ale came to us in a moment of deranged clarity. English honey malt and flaked oats create a distinctive combination that makes it a great everyday drinker. 6.4% 36 IBUs
List of limited release beers to follow.

FAQs:
When will the doors to the tap room open?
Doors will open promptly at 5:55pm, which so happens to be the time set on our clock tower out front. (As a side note: Save the clock tower!)
What beers will you have on tap?
We’ll be pouring our year-round beers, Hop Gun IPA and Floridian German-Style Wheat Ale, as well as core staples OP (Oakland Park) Porter, Doc Brown’s 1.21 Gigawatts Brown Ale, Red Dawn, and Missionary Blonde Ale. We’ll also be tapping a number of limited release beers during the night at set times. For more info on that, please read our Limited Release Tap Schedule.
How much will the beers cost?
To make it easier for our staff and customers during the grand opening, each of our beers will cost just one ticket. Each ticket costs $5 and can be purchased at any of the three designated ticket booths around the brewery. Special release pours will be smaller than core beers rather than more expensive.
Do I have to buy tickets first in order to purchase beer?
For the grand opening, yes. We’re expecting a sizeable crowd, so the best way to ensure people have quick access to beer and don’t have to wait in ungainly lines is to sell tickets. This way you only have to purchase once, and can just hand our beertenders tickets each time you order. Since we’ll be doing special timed releases throughout the night, we hope this method will allow people to get their beer quickly and efficiently.
How do I tip the beer servers?
Please bring some cash to tip your servers, or visit our ATM on site. Thanks!
Can I bring bottles of beer to share with others during the grand opening?
We realize that while many people enjoy bottle sharing at brewery events, we will not be allowing outside bottles of any kind into the tap room or on the grounds during the grand opening. Bottle sharing may be allowed and/or encouraged at future events - just not this time. We appreciate your understanding.
What kind of food will you have at the event?
See the above section on Food Trucks - we'll have some great offerings from some of the most popular trucks out there, including Ms. Cheezious (gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches) and Bite Gastrotruck. Frankie Dogs will serve vegan and all-beef hot dogs, and Taco Fresh will do its take on Mexican street food. All trucks will accept cash and credit cards.
Will you accept credit cards?
Yes – our east-most and west-most ticket booths will accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover cards. We will also have an ATM on site for easy access to cash.
Can I purchase merchandise like shirts, hats, and glassware during the grand opening?
Yes – we’ll have a merchandise booth set up just below the main stage outside with glassware, T-shirts, work shirts, hats, and more available for purchase.
Can I purchase and fill growlers during the grand opening?
Absolutely - we will have a dedicated growler filling booth inside the tap room. Due to limited quantity, we will not be filling growlers of limited release beers during this particular event, but it may be an option in the future.
Can I tour the brewery during the grand opening?
While we won’t be conducting tours during the grand opening itself, we do plan to host tours on Saturdays and Sundays, with tours running throughout the day on a first-come, first-served basis. Tour times will be posted in the near future. For large parties or group accommodations please contact info[at]funkybuddhabrewery.com.
Will your beers be available in flights or sample sizes?
Sorry, but we won’t be pouring flights or sample beers during the grand opening. Flights will be available in the tap room during normal business hours.
Will Snifter Club or Founders’ Club members be able to use their custom glasses during the grand opening?
Of course! Please do be aware that the potential for accidental breakage or theft will be higher at this event, so we can't be responsible for snifters lost or broken during the event. That said, please make sure you give your glass directly to a bartender inside the tap room when finished to avoid any issues.
How do I sign up for the Snifters Club during the grand opening?
Please visit the merch and ticket booth below the main stage outside to sign up for the Snifter Club. We will always accept sign ups going forward during normal business hours, too.
Can I bring my dog?
We love animals! As long as your dogs are well-behaved and their owners are willing to clean up after them, they will be welcome in all outside areas. Just not inside the tap room, please.
What about parking?
We're happy to say that parking in the area is plentiful and free. The brewery is located in a large warehouse on the northeast corner of Dixie Highway and NE 38th St. in Oakland Park. If you come from 38th St. east, tons parking is available on the East side of the building in the dock area. From Dixie Highway, copious public parking is available just south of 38th St. in the public lots near Oakland Park City Hall. We do ask that you not park on the street or grass in the neighborhoods behind the brewery. Thanks!
