If you are staying at one of the beach resorts, it is just a short four blocks away. They have rental chairs everyday. Straight bars right across the street. This is a great pick up sight. Lauderdale and loved it every time. Florida weather can be fickle, but on a clear day it's the perfect spot to sunbathe and swim in the warm water. Saw and met lots of other gays there (including a few strippers from Johnny's), and everyone was having a good time. Tip: Go to Fat Tuesdays across the street and buy fabulous frozen drinks in their cute Sports Bottles. Alcohol isn't technically allowed on the beach, but the Sports Bottle conceals what you're really drinking.
