Got VooDoo instead of JetSet

This was my first gay club to go to in Fort Lauderdale. I had accidentally stumped upon it trying to find the JetSet club, thinking I arrived there with the address I got online here. The club guard told me that the JetSet is gone, closed down apparently for a hetero club (damn them-they're invading our gay space!!!). Bummer. So I paid the $15 cover on this Saturday night and was greeted by a sea of shirtless muscle-bound guerrillas (mostly), Latin men, beautiful model trannies, and 3 dance floors pumping with music techno, R&B, and even Latin/Salsa, or all mixed here and there. This club definitely shows the uniqueness of what makes South Florida's gay scene and culture. Hell, I even meet a porn star, and not just an ordinary one, but the most super-duper-hot-ass-Exclusive one at that (he's fucking hot!!!). When just entering the bar area, no shit, I saw and touched, with my bare hands, the shirtless and amazing Matthew Rush. I said hi and that I loved his work. If in Fort Lauderdale, this place is definitely a must on your gay list sometime there during your stay!!!

Its a straight bar cashing in

From what I understand it is only gay on Sundays. It's the only gay club in Ft Lauderdale that has a cover that Ive noticed. It was $10 the night I was there. Straight thugs at the door. The ordeal at the door gave the impression you were entering this vast club. Very South Beachy attitude. There were 2 dance floors. Basically, its 3 rooms. One is semi outdoors and so hot you cant spend much time out there. The drinks were very expensive. Tip the bartender well or you wont see him again. The main room had great music but no place to dance as it was set up completely for a drag show stage. All the "girls" set up to see and be seen down in front. Pretty bitchy but nothing out of the ordinary, It was frustrating because the music in the main room was the best Ive heard in Ft Lauderdale, and no place to dance. The room in the back was very small. It had standard radio dance music and hip hop type stuff. You had to walk through the center of the dance floor to get to the bar. They will pretend they dont see you trying to get through and dance harder to make it more difficult. Its all about being seen here. The out door room was empty because it was so dripping hot. It was a beautiful space but empty. They must only put the blowers on on Fridays and Saturdays for the straight crowd? I dunno Generally the club is completely 20 somethings. For the inexperienced, it will seem like one of a kind. For me, it was a straight bar cashing in on the gays. Lots of attitude, you know, all the fabulous chickens clucking, but pretty ordinary. Pretty crowd. A posers delight, but nothing really much going on. Every body there is convinced they are the center of the world. Good drag show. Very professional

The energy is high, the music is great, and the crowd is hot! I love this club. Definitely one of the best in south Florida. I love the straight/gay/bi mix.
