Small place, but nice selection
Great selection of clothes that you cant find elsewhere. Mostly club where, swimming attire, and underwear. Some accessories for the gay bedroom as well (not toys... if you get what I mean). Owner was really nice. In the same shopping center as the Alibi and Java Boys.
A Place to have Fun and Rummage For Unique Items
The place for funky, off the wall, and comfortable clothing at a reasonable price, and if you look close you will find many items are made with excellent materials, and workmanship. Fishnet beach shorts, Egyptian cotton beach t-shirts, to psychedelic shirts with faux lizard pants. Always something new, specially the colorful tight fitting boxers, I always I find different, unusual, and hard to find items anywhere else. Best thing, the staff, always helpful when you need them with no drama or fuss whatsoever, and can even remember you by name.
Gay Goodwill?
I just had an overwhelming feeling of going into a Goodwill store - clothing that looks, strangely, used, absolutely nothing compelling about the display merchandising, gobs of teeshirts and just overwhelmingly tired feeling. Much better off going to an "American Apparel" for kaleidoscopic teeshirt range, fun atmosphere, and less of a retail discount tag sale feeling.
Tired Store
I like Gay Mart in Palm Springs, but the Ft Lauderdale store is tired. Mostly last years styles. Buy some new merchandise guys.
